I Love You

The Postive & Negative of Life and Death

I Love You explores the tension between affection and aggression through layered text and imagery. The background is built with repeated lettering, creating a visual rhythm that supports a central portrait gradually shifting into a comic-book style. Surrounding slogans calling for peace add contrast, highlighting the contradictions within human nature.

Bobby Kurb uses this work to question how societies glorify violence, especially through entertainment and war narratives. The irony is clear – leaders on both sides of conflict often invoke divine support, even when their actions contradict spiritual teachings.

This piece also examines the impact of media saturation. As visual content grows more extreme, audiences grow numb, and peace feels further out of reach. Through I Love You, Kurb asks us to pause and reflect: What stories are we consuming, and how are they shaping our collective conscience?
