In this quietly powerful piece, Kurb presents a single model railway wagon, filled with coal and marked with graffiti- including the verse “Rev 11:18,” a stark reference to divine judgement on those destroying the earth.
Though modest in scale, the work speaks volumes about environmental exploitation, industrial greed, and collective accountability. The wagon, a symbol of commerce and extraction, becomes a warning: our actions leave marks, some of which cannot be undone.
With its raw directness, Bring to Ruin challenges viewers to consider the cost of progress and the moral weight of ecological damage we can no longer ignore.
