A Better Future features the repeated phrase “I demand a better future,” echoing both a David Bowie reference and a call for change. It confronts the contradiction between our desire for a peaceful, sustainable world and our reluctance to shift our lifestyles.
Through stencilled repetition and sharp irony, the work highlights the gap between intention and action. Green protests raised with smartphones and the belief that individuals alone must fix systemic issues serve as central themes.
Rather than offering answers, Bobby Kurb asks viewers to pause and reflect. His work becomes a mirror, urging us to question the structures around us and the roles we choose to play in shaping what comes next.
